II'm sure, but this has apparently been going on for a while in Africa, in various regions as well, but you are complaining about the early settlers, a group that existed for a handful of decades, until they became civilized enough that they didnt need to do that, even in the limited incidents your article mentions.  Face it, the Africans are dangerous.  The sheer propensity of scams coming out of Nigeria is shocking to say the least.
