Competition is always good for consumers, that's the reality of the situation.

Competiton is not wholly positive, it truly depends on the context.

I honestly cannot think of one negative outcome of competition in the business setting when it comes to consumer welfare. I mean, there might be a few instances where it isn't a good thing, but I simply can't think of any of them.
