I like TF better than 3D World, so I'll say that the reviewers who rated it low, tried to send a hint to Retro "do anotha METOROIDO!!!!""
I'm happy with their choice to do TF, but would also absolutely love if they'd do another Metroid someday. No hurry though (since the general opinion here seems to be that Metroid wouldn't do jack shit to Wii U sales).
Edit: Also because they probably couldn't even beat the game. I love the difficulty.
