There is no such thing as "white" people. The only people who even fit that label, are people who consider themselves to be "white", IE aren't educated to or just don't care at all about their own roots and family background.
There is not a person on this planet that isn't "ethnic", or even "multiethnic", so while I get the context of "white people don't understand what non-white people have dealt with or have to go to", there certainly is some validity to that in this country. But if we exclude one people or "white" ethnicities from the conversation, that is not progressive or terribly productive, at all.
