in games and with gamers people might see a huge difference.... but in the general public I wouldn't bet on it.... My parents/ sister /relatives couldn't tell you the difference on a movie if I didn't tell them to look for it.... especially if they are upscaled... and they are sitting at a good distance from the TV
and a shit load of mainstream people are like them... 720p is HD btw the lowest setting but it is HD.... now between SD and HD more people do see the difference...
