Really because sales of PS3 first 5 month showed us the end result really well. What a leap of faith. The first year won't decide the end of the gen. Let alone the first few months. If that was the case, Ps3 wouldn't have hit 50 million consoles sold.

But Playstation and Xbox simply aren't comparable in this regard. Europe and Japan are already lost for One. Nobody can deny that. There simply isn't a way for them to outclass PS4 in sales WW. Only thing they can hope for is improving their sales and at best, retaking US with a small lead (although I do not expect that).

What the guy above probably means is that the positions have already been decided. Sales for X1 can easily be improved though.


I agree. I think nothing will ultimately change in the coming years. The fans have decided, this early, which machine will be the go to machine. I was a big 360 gamer last gen, got the ps4, and have no plans on getting an x1, at least until it's cheaper, and doesn't have the stupid kinect(I hate that thing).... Microsoft can still have a great gen, but it will be one they will not win. But they don't have to either. Just be profitable with good enough sales... Hopefully. We need a competitor in the market.
