You want to bring something new to the table, start a new IP. Don't ruin a perfectly fine series because you want your ideas to have a big audience. The audience will find you if you're that good. I take it, like a lot of musicians do, SE has only been trying to get the bigger sales instead of focusing on creating something with balls, and a lot of heart. |
Final Fantasy with Kingdom Hearts gameplay is pretty much how the hype started (and it being a PS3 exclusive at the time). KH's combat is pretty fun, and I'm sure XV's combat will be deeper since they won't have to cater to a younger audience.
I read that XV might have sequels, but at least they're thinking about it before releasing the first one. The story afterwards won't be that much of a mess since it will be planned (I hope).
Anyways, I would love to see another game like XII later down the road; I think it's one of their strongest titles in the last few years. The pacing & grinding were a little off, but it was a brilliant game with huge amounts of content. And it had Balthier; he's so sexy.
