Well it isn't xbox one vs ps4 like some people think.
it's MS vs Sony.
look at the trends that started before the consoles released such as ps3 selling more monthly than the 360 after years of loosing.
even now after the big rush, ps3 is outselling the xbox one. Something happened, hell if I know what that is but Sony's fan base........on the video game side of things has grown real fast.
More than most of things like games are being considered, people are buying into Sony. also the price tag difference is a help. The hardcores have mostly made their choice already, now the average consumers are making theirs. and they are being influenced by a number of things. with more people supporting sony, chances are higher if they ask a random gamer for an opinion they well point them in the direction of sony.
Some kids are happy with either and plead for either console. the buyer has no preference in those cases but what is obvious is a $100 saving.
I doubt most people even hardcores can look at a system and accurately call off the number of games available for it or exclusives.
This list has very little influence on a purchase. There just games, the library will grow on both sides but names of available games have little value.
If no body hypes plants vs zombies and you never heard about it, seeing it in a list of games won't have any impact on you.
few games are worth mentioning when talking about moving consoles.
