Always online has been the standard for many games within the computer industry for years and years (WOW being a good example), so why is it so hard for console gamers to accept that this is the standard that will be set from here on out? Internet access shouldn´t be an issue anymore, just saying. |
Because WoW is an MMO with no single player mode, and PvZ does have a single player mode? Can someone explain why that part of the game should require the console be online? It can't use the authentication excuse that many PC games use, as consoles are a walled garden so piracy is much smaller.
I'm having a go at MS here, as its most likely EA's policy, but to date I haven't heard a valid reason why a single player game needs to be connected on a console? Other than 'all games are doing it, get with the program'.
