It's more about, that Microsoft just wanted to benefit the most from the loyal fans. <3 months later> Microsoft: "Damn, our sales are getting pretty weak (no sh*t) at least we got every peny from our most loyal fans, let's give it a price cut to it's normal price." So we can finally compete against Sony.
