The only thing that stops people from buying Xbone is the price.  When you can buy a PS4 with, as to date, better grafix at a lower price, no matter what needed updates, missing features at launch or problems the two console were having, people will tend to go to the cheaper product. In the console world, pricing is everything, much more than actual features. You will have a hard time selling a console that is over a 400$ price point no matter the name or features your product is offering (the PS3 was a good example as it fail to sell at launch due to bad pricing and it was the successor of the mighty PS2). Another thing to take in consideration, these companies exist because of the hardcore gamers, but make profits out of the casual.

Oh.  So, with your line of thinking, like the PS3, the Xbox One is still very much in it.  HELL, could even WIN this generation of gaming, right?

It's not my line of thinking its the consumer way of thinking. People are buying things when they feel the price is right for what they get, now the xbone looks like an underpowered console with a high price tag compared to the PS4, so people are buying the ps4. They feel they get more for their money, but if the xbone was to be 300$ would it be the same? Probably not, so thats why I say that pricing is the first thing to address with a game console, the right amount of power at the right price, not the features. Now for this generation winner pronostic, I leave it to you as I could care less who wins or not, I will just have fun watching the war and see what strategy each of them will use to get maketshares.
