Even after playing vastly superior looking 8th gen games, I had no problem going back to 7th gen because there is more to a gameplay experience than graphics.

I don't think he means that better graphics make a game better than another game. I think he means that improved graphics of a specific game will make the game experience better. Such as playing the same title on last-gen and then playing it on next-gen or PC.

But if he did just mean that good graphics make a good game then, ugh...
