Sure Titanfall is not a system seller, you can see it isn't because of the position it holds in the USA pre-order chartz: |
Thats quite a low number of pre-orders actualy, the game will probably sell around 1 mil units and move around 100k XOnes on the first couple of weeks and thats that, imo for a game thats bound to get perfect 10s across the board from all critics (we know it will regarldess of quality its a FPS with mechs critics are already sold on the game and wont be impartial at all on reviews) its very low. Do take in consideration that pre-orders are generaly from ppl who already own the console so taking that as a measure of potential for the game to push new sales is dumb. Also important to notice that the second place on pre-orders is Destiny on PS4 with almost the same amount of pre-orders as Titanfall with the diference that Destiny dont even have a release date yet. Wich of these 2 games do you think will sell better ?
I guess the whole Japanese PS4 beeing avaliable on shelfs deal is just a matter of Sony shipping a lot of units there to avoid supply constraints. My prediction is around 300k PS4s week 1 wich would be pretty decent considering how the Japanese console market has been strugling.
