I like the full analysis on the combat system. Makes me understand it even though I haven't played (though it doesn't beat empirical example). I don't find the review too extensive; if done right, more = quality. (I don't get bored reading either).
I don't like the mechanic of grabbing villagers for Norelge, though. Streetpass on my JRPG? No thanks. And a shame magic being outclassed by physical force.
