Remember that Sony is tight on money. They can't market their products anywhere near as much as MS can. 

That's true but they could do more to get Vita especially out there more

Yeah Sony's marketing department failed to advertise the Vita properly unfortunately. Marketing is incredibly important. Nintendo also failed at marketing the WiiU. Both companies could learn from MS about agressive advertising.
