No, I cant see multiplayer battles being more then 4 players especially sense Nintendo is making both games for the Wii U and 3DS basically the same (Other then the stages) I doubt its possible to have 6 players battle on the 3DS.
I do think it would be pretty cool but multiplayers have been capped at 4 players for so long now that I doubt Nintendo will ever make it possible to play with more then 4 players.
