Doesn't stand a chance. Microsoft doesn't have an entry point into the market really. They should have exited this generation. Instead they went all in on Kinect... That was Microsofts ray of hope, but do any of you really think the Kinect has or will save the XBox division? Halo will increase sales, but it isn't saving anything. Microsoft is just trying to recoup their losses this generation before exiting next gen. It's pretty much a guarantee at this point.

They just spent $400 million on an NFL deal, $100 million to secure the exclusive rights to Gears of War, $100 million to develop their controller, and are spending at least 1 billion on exclusive game development. Money is clearly not their concern. They are fully dedicated to Xbox and making it a success.

If anyone should have left the industry after last gen it should have been Sony. The PS3 nearly sunk their entire company and they will never fully recover from the losses they took.
