You are aware that subjective opinion has no place masquerading as fact. The main objective feature of the ps4's gui that is a step backwards is the lack of custom themes, which is a simple change in hardware.

Furthermore, I could replace every mention of ps4 for xb1 and it would still hold, except for the fact it being in more markets and promoted as the gaming centric console. 

Yes, but this post and the history of console war is full of "subjective opinion", this thread is based on subjective opinion.
