I'm not sure about US prices for components but
- 7950HD or equivalent GPU as a minimum
- 8BG RAM as a minimum. Recommend 12 or 16 if possible
- Any current gen i5 or AMDs latest octa cores
- Whatever HDD you need.
- Use a .edu or ac.uk email to buy Windows 8 on the cheap
