Absolutely, positively not.

While your logic that launch is far less casual dependent than regular post launch window sales, holiday sales are still incredibly important and significant among the younger hardcore who don't have much money for themselves. 

A Wii U launch in February would've been lucky to break 210k, for instance.

People just don't share your pessismistic view of the market. If the PS4 doesn't outperform the Wii U, it'd be disaster for the Japanese industry.


It's not pessism, I'm just being realistic now. The Japanese market for consoles died last gen, it IS incredibly unhealthy.

And again, comparing how the PS4 does in February to how the Wii U does during the holidays is unfair to the PS4.
