Yeah I know it was quickly surpassed but it was high end tech at launch. Xbox One at launch is mid tier at best, considering 750ti is only a $150 GPU and it more than capable of performing at Xbox One levels. The 360 didn't depreciate as fast as Xbox One is going to. Honestly in 4 years I don't see how its going to run new games considering it struggles to even handle and up rezzed port of Tomb Raider and can't even hit 1080p on it. |
You may be factually correct but other than bragging rights of "we had a high end GPU for 12 months", does it really matter that X360 had a high end GPU for slightly longer than current gen? We all know the 360 console was rushed and it may have been lucky to fall in between GPU cycles and have some of the high end features for a bit longer. It all evens out at the end. By the time PS3 launched there were several GPUs with both manufacturers running circles around next gen consoles.
I'm not trying to defend current gen consoles...I'm a PC guy...but for what they are, they are perfectly fine with current specs.
