X1 needs a lot more than that.

Not really...

Looking at the numbers on the front page says otherwise. QB like AW will not move systems. Alan Wake had a hell a lot more hype and no one bought it. H5 can't carry the whole console on its shoulders.

"Nobody" being 1.25m at retail plus whatever digital?

Gotcha.

Yes for the hype AW and the X360 install base, that's nobody. A game like Beyond Two Souls is considered a dud but it's still selling better than AW ever did. 800k of those sales were the first year. Gamestop dropped the price on it a month after it released. Then the other 400k of "retail" sales were from the last 3 years where the legs were horrible and was 15 dollars in a bin. And your digital sales?  AW wasn't offered as a digital download title prior to November 5th, 2010 when it was bundled in the Holiday X360 Sku with a downloadable voucher. The same holiday season that had the new S X360 sku plus the Kinect effect. MS sold a lot of 360's that year and a lot of them came with a piece of paper with that AW code on it. Don't get me wrong, I bought the game on day 1 for my 360 and I thought it was great but i will not defend it's sales, it was hyped and when it came,  it didn't deliver the sales that MS wanted. So yes, 1.25M is nobody to me on that budget over how many years of dev time, 4-5?    It's a dud like so many others released this past gen on either system.
