I have no clue what you are arguing about? This thread is about "dedicated" servers and the lag/latency or even the net code... AI being processed on the server IS improving that because it will not be affected by the host connection and it will free up some CPU on all client machine (as none will be used to process it); nothing is "bad" about that and even if you believe that it is very marginal, I'm not sure what is your point about not talked about while talking about no host need/lag/latency. Now, if you want to just complain/rent about Titanfall in general, then yes go ahead but this is not the right thread and AI being dumb has nothing to do with it. |
Well i apoligise if ive gone off topic i didnt mean too, but again you have failed to understand the point im making that the AI being done on the server is nothing new, its how all network games have always worked. Its not freeing up CPU on a client machine because it was never even a cosideration for a client to do this processing its always the job of the host, the host is just now a dedicated server, not a player.
But if you think this is great welcome to the world of dedicated server games, theyve been around for a while now, thankfully the COD crowd that are moving to the spiritual successor can start to enjoy it too :)
I think Titanfall is great so im not going to rant about the game, the AI beinf moronic really does not affect the fun of the game at all for me. If they fix it i dont think it will change as there clearly only there to be free kills not to provide a challenge.
The advatage of the cloud as others have put it, is hopefully it can spin up new servers around the world at a moments notice as demand increases in the locations they are needed.
