A quick take on MS's E3 and the Kinect as a peripheral

Sorry, Kinect is and remains a peripheral.

When it comes to computers for example, even keyboards, mice and monitors are considered peripherals, even though most computers are designed to use these devices and most computers ship with mouse and keyboard included. And even though some fucked up operating systems actually treat these devices as being mandatory for using the computer.

They're still peripherals, and I seriously wonder why you have such a problem with accepting that word. In my opinion, there's nothing negative about that word.
