I wonder if the age of the gamer has anything to do with the fact that they like WW, the first bunch of people in this thread are very young from what i can remember, and may not have been of gaming age back in the old Zelda days.

Because everyone i know hated Zelda WW, these would be people from the age of 20-25.

I'm nearly 40, and i agree 100% with Soriku's OP, so... it has nothing to do with age, it's just a matter of taste...

But it's maybe true younger gamers have no shame tellin' they like cartoony graphics, while the 20-25 want to prove they're "real" men with "better", "grown-up" tastes...

That kind of behavior disappears the day you have kids, and you find yourself watching Disney or Pixar classics with them, or playin WW or Galaxy with them... the wonder in their eyes and the fun they have are just so great to see...

But for people like me, who have always been animation fans and Zelda fans too, WW cel shaded world >>> any FPS "realistic" world...

In fact, some of the WW dungeons are still my favorite of all the Zelda's i've played... and i've played them all at least once, sometimes two or three times...

I'll always remember the first impressions i've had in the Forbidden Woods, by example... it's so beautiful and impressive... but it's my taste, and my taste only, i don't force anyone to agree... in fact, i don't really care...

It's just a shame Nintendo will never do another WW, on Wii by example, because of the (very relative) "commercial failure" WW has known... I'm sure Aonuma would love to do it, so what if there's "only" 2 or 3 millions people interested, and not 5 or 6 millions? I'd LOVE to play it, that's for sure..

On the contrary, I think a cell-shaded Zelda would have much more family appeal than a realistic-style Zelda. Phantom Hourglass isn't even seen as a 'big' Zelda by most of the fans, yet it is less than a million away from Twilight Princess, probably THE most hyped Zelda together with Ocarina of Time.

About the WW graphics: I think they are some of the prettiest ever. Those who think they aren't, or even say it isn't even the prettiest CS game: play it on a SD tv, at the right distance from the screen. Be amazed by the battle against Gohmma, let your mouth fall open from happiness in the Forbidden Woods, notice the big smile on your face when you play the Tower of The Gods, and make it grow even bigger for what comes after that.

The game is graphically truly amazing. Period.
