What I got out of this, is that Forbes doesn't fact check really anything anymore and really shouldn't be taken seriously. So a hopless read of Anecdotal evidence and guess work, like what we have here.

The 360 did make money, but not enough to make up for how much in the red they are. The Xbox portion of Microsoft has not made them a dime in over thirteen years. That's best case by the way. The most reliable information we have suggests that the numbers have been shown in such a way to cover billions in losses that we never knew about.

The Xbox division has been a financial losser for Microsoft from the moment it launched. With the current state of the Xbox One and the mounting pressure to "focus", it's not looking like that will change anytime soon.
