Indeed. And we've already seen MS quite quickly alter it's OS to accomodate consumer preference: Windows 8.1 bring back the start button because people don't want to use toughscreen as the primary interface with their desktop or even laptop.
So if MS can change Win8 to facilitate exclusive use of the mouse and keyboard to control the UI then they can change the Xb one UI to accomodate exclusive use of the controller.
