i dont understand ur problem, i did the update too.
yesterday i was playing cod4 for like 2 hours online and then i did an update of pes2008 and played 3-4 games online with no problems at all. and then i did turn it off as normal
maybe u should call sony or use C4 to terminate it once and for all.
I like technology when its moving forward..
