MS needs price cuts and games... I think the Kinect-less SKU a terrible idea. Now some user experience with the UI... it doesn't works well without Kinect... it is a mess to navigate using controller on Xbone.... the UI was designed to works with Kinect... so if they choose to go with non-Kinect SKU they will need to make drastic changes in the UI. |
This makes sense only for new gamers wondering what side to pick. It's true if you take away the kinect the x1 esentially on the suurface becomes a weaker PS4.
But I think very few people who bought an xbox one bought it because of kinnect. All that was, was a tool used to kill arguments on why we spent more money..
But the real reason people went with MS was for more ecential aspects to gaming such as
*controller preference
*trust in the online survice
* ties to the comunity
*years of MS investment
*Titan Fall......ah I mean games.
If anything getting an X1 with the 100 dollar pac in expressed some serious loyalty.
With all of that asside kinnect boils down to a wii emulaating gimmick aimed at generating a large amount of non gamer sales. It's aimed at the casuals who I think for the most part are done with the gaming scene after the original wii.
So in the end 100 is a lot of extra cash and what I think it did was drive away a lot of potential buyers. looking at the US market alone were the 360 dominated, the x1 is loosing now why? The pice tag is the main reason I can think of.
