Depends on how much you play, but yes it takes weeks. If you do it the traditional way, it takes months.

But nowadays they have trimmed it out so its faster. This is just the final insult to those that put the effort and their money in when the game comes out.

Well, that content was there and you played it (and got your money's worth)

Their current problem is that new people can't get to the new and exciting stuff fast enough to keep their interest. (I tried WoW for the first time last week, I quit at the third fetch quest. I'd quite like to do raids or PvP but nope)

Imagine this is "World of Warcraft 2". All your progress is confined to an outdated prequel and new players get to see new content right away.

Your level isn't your in-game progress so much as a content metering system.


I think its a bad way of doing things. They should just do away with the level system completely. The true leveling is done on gear anyways. Might aswell open the world up to everyone... instead of making old players feel like they got cheated and the new players fork 60 just to get where everyone else is.
