Only way to survive with such budgets for good games is sells COD-like numbers or ... make bad games instead.

You don't have to make bad games per se. Notch is rubbing it in the faces of the gaming industry. The fact that Minecraft has lasted this long in the charts in comparison to other big budget titles is just an embarrasment. 

I guess the next big hit will probably be Destiny.
