I believe we'll return to console gaming BALANCE. That means, all the hype-casual-fad-inflated sales train has left the station. We're back to good ol' fashion console gaming. And yes, when we look at THOSE numbers, they suck compared to last gen. But...EVERY gen sucked compared to the fad train of last year. REAL GAMERS are moving the console gaming industry, again (finally)...

And as far as sales of the big 3 goes, it's all doom and gloom because...SONY wins in a dominating fashion, again? The gaming industry can't survive because...gamers are buying the Nintendo and Microsoft consoles at the same rate they've BEEN buying Nintendo and Microsoft consoles (before Wii & Xbox 360)? This is how it goes, people. I don't know how many of you have been console gaming around the time the PS1 hit, but if you had then you'd understand that this is Standard Operating Procedures, right here. SONY trounces in sales, through on-the-ground, dirt under their fingernails work, and show you what they can do, and let the consumer decide. They've been the ONLY ones that have been consistent. The difference this time however is...the other 2 (especially MS) are starting this gen with buyers PURPOSELY staying away. THAT...is not good.

The gaming industry will be alright. We're just going through the paces of seeing who will be left standing after all the smoke, mirrors, middle-aged single women, and Doritos are all ate up...
