I've said this before but packing in Kinect does not guarantee everyone has it. For third parties it currently guarantees that 24% of Gen 8 has it, Why spend money adding kinect features for such a small and getting smaller percentage of your market.
EDIT:
Just like the PS4 touch pad is fast turning into the giant "Select button", because why support something not everyone has.
