Consoles are longtime investments, unlike PC hardware which is a more right-now deal. So consumer trust goes a long way with consoles and Sony has the best track record with the first two consoles and especially with the late gen PS3 support with MS leaving their second console to die a lonely death (as opposed to the euthanized first console.) Iwata strategies were apparent that they didn't include hardcore/committed gamers and anything caring the Wii logo will be treated as boxed cancer.
