Hopefully the crummy colors are due to this being a sunset battle, and daytime environments and enemies will be as vibrant and colorful as they were in Xenoblade.

Though I'm fully expecting them to accept this whole grey, washed-out look the first teaser also sported, as seemingly every piece of geometry is draped in normal maps with shadows going towards black.

No. No it isn't. That many have done it over the past eight years doesn't mean it ever looked good.
