Cool idea for a video. One of the things I can't fault about what Blizzard did with the game was to make it dynamic and always changing, with areas changing as things change in the game.
Unfortunately, everything else they did with the game killed it for me and I must disagree with crazy man here. Stuff like LFR killed much of the sense of community in the game. I found some people I'm still friends with now through searching for a group to run dungeons with back when I joined up in TBC. Now, if you just stick your name in the LF queue you'll find a group from servers you'll never interact with again to go through it with.
And I kinda agree that Blizzard's stubborn-ness not to update old content with new stats so that it could be run by max level players really killed the sense of a "world" which they were doing such a good job of creating in the first place. There's no reason to revisit old content except out of nostalgia (or if you run a level-capped guild i.e. level 70, like I tried to at one point) yet some of their best content is hidden away in the coffers at this point.
S'a shame. But such is the nature of an MMORPG I suppose.
