Sorry, but NPD is not an indication of how many people are jumping ship. It doesn't prove Playstation is taking a significant number of Xbox users.

Its a safe bet most people buying PS4's are or were PS3 owners. Its just simple logic.

The PS4 may steal many Xbox users down the road, but it hasn't quite happened yet.

It may not be an indication but it is representative of the trend ...

The fact that the PS4 started out this good compared to the X1 just means that it will take quite a few xbox users in the future.
