I disagree. I think it greatly inflates PSP sales... as I've said. Just about everyone I know who has a PSP bought it soley for the fact that they could hack it to get games for free and to use it as a portable emulator to play their pirated roms on.


The guy just said it doesn't affect the PSP sales as in it doesn't make the hardware sales low. He's talking about the fact that it makes software sales low as am I.


While I'm saying it doesnt... and it just makes the software sales low because it inflates the hardware sales higher making the attach rate low.

In otherwords... if the PSP didn't have piracy. I'd expect software to sell about the same... and hardware sales to drop off considerably.

As for the microsoft guy, i bothered to track down an exact mention.
