Wow didn't know about broken ports! How much connecting and disconnecting was needed for that!?

I always use 10€ cables, I suppose they will work fine with the PS4 (no 4K).

Not that much times, I already had a PS3 and the monitor it was connected having problems, a lot of people I know lost 1 of the inputs on their TVs and so on. I'm not a big fan of HDMI, it is pretty fragile. Good old times with sturdy VGA connectors that were simple and durable. After all that, I avoid unnecessary connections and disconnections if possible.

About these cables and 4K, is more a matter of the specs. HDMI 1.4 supports 4K, so it's the minimum. Of course, for these more demanding uses, a good cable would be better, not just to avoid problems, but to protect more expensive devices (PS4, 4K TVs).

Yeah, I have two, but I honestly think the Rocketfish that connects to my PC is exactly the same as my two SUPER OMEGA 10,000 Monster cables (or whatever they're called) in terms of build quality. I think the extra cost comes from how cool they look.

And what is more fair than paying for coolness? They are awesome! I like them because they really last for a long time and the cable itself has a good plastic material and looks confiable.
