PC is hurting consoles as well, its having a huge resurgence

Would you say that it is because gaming on the PC online has free multiplayer; or mostly because of the popularity of digital game services like steam?

Either way, I for one would have no problem with the resurgence of PC gaming and would gladly welcome it into the living room since it has so many options like mods, graphical settings, a form of backwards compatibility and if the steam box takes off, maybe that platform could be a viable way for less successful hardware and software manufactures to find a platform in the years to come in the declining console market.

I think its a huge combination of things that just make PC gaming arguably superior to console gaming and consumers are finding out about it.

Much cheaper games, tons of mods, cutting edge graphics if you want them, Steams awesome way of tying it all together, tons of indie games like DayZ and Rust you cant get on consoles. PC is just the way to play now days IMO and I think consumers are catching on as well.

That being said PS4 and X1 are both great systems and neither are "doomed". But Im not sure either will see the success like PC is having.

Agreed, all good reasons for why PC market has found continual success over the years and thanks for your input.
