I think its likely to launch in 2015.
Theres really no way of knowing and people giving you certainties have no way to know. The thing is we dont know how much work was actually already done when they started working full force on the game, nor when this actually was.
If work only started after FFXIV ARR got mostly complete, then its likely the game will see a release in late 2015, early 2016. If work was already under progress much earlier than that, then it could be out early next year or even late this year.
With squeenix we never kow, so its easier to assume the worst.
