If X1 fails, will Wii U Flourish?

The poster obviously feels like if one of the HD twins fails it will fare better for Nintendo. Nintendos problems have absolutely nothing to do with the HD twins.

I thought the Wii U was HD though?  Shouldn't it be HD Triplets this gen?  :)
