his timeline has panned out correctly in vedic,islamic,chinese,greco-roman,egyptian,aztec,babylonian,etc civilizations

 

other authors like carroll quigley have the same timeline and pattern

It's silly to think any culture or way of life will live on indefinitely but to give it a post marked date and choose specific choices to make your point and group stuff together is somewhat silly in my opinion.

Current Western culture will be exceptionally hard to overturn because of something Spengler could not have forseen.

Mass free trade. Western culture is shipped everywhere and quite worryingly overwriting other cultures. pretty hard, making eastern europeons want to become rappers, Polynesian girls sensitive about their weight... and any number of other changes.

western culture has nothing to do with free trade,rapping and girls being sensitive

vedic india,islamic arabia,rome,china all had mass free trade.every civilization in history has had free trade,how the hell does trade happen otherwise and without trade,a civilization can't exist

rapping is more of african culture than western.it can also be called ghetto culture

women being sensitive has nothing to do with western culture,western civilization is a fully developed civilization today unlike other civilizations in the world

the chinese and islamic civilization was coming to an end aka delcine from 1000 AD to 1900 AD

the same time Western(Europe,USA,Canada,Australia) and Russian Civilization were rising.

one rises and the other falls.

 

alot of people mistake industrial civilization with Western civilization.

if you look at technology,it has been improving since 500 AD.

China and Islamic civilization had gun powder before West but it was towards the decline of their civilization not like the rise of the West.

 

By DECLINE OF THE WEST,SPENGLER means WEST's religion,cultural symbols,design's will decline

 

technology improvements continue with future civilization

 

Also West really took over currently since the Soviet Union collapsed and only because dollar was the WORLD RESERVE CURRENCY.

without the dollar,USA would not have been able to globalize.

 

Also culture domination atleast of foreign people can turn pretty quickly

Persians returned to their culure after on 250 years rule of Selucid Greeks

 

Sure some people speak out about it, but they seem few, and far from the majority of their countries... and even tend to embody some of the aspects they decry. Making many of them seem like the rich celebrity who lives in a house worth millions, spends more in a year then most countries GDP's and talks about the plight of the poor and how greedy the rich are.

Something they say just to feel better about themselves.

I think western dominated culture will last for quite some time, with any shifts happening within it's small confined boundaries... and a new system will only come about through a REALLY big disaster.

Yes the domination of a culture last's wherever it has been but only a small time.

After Greek Domination by Selucids,Persia returned to their own culture pretty soon

same thing for India after islamic domination.

Dollar collapse will be the really big disaster
