Well I don't know about release, but it's very much playable now when I last played it. The only bad part was the opening sequence. It was very... muddy and downright ugly. I was really afraid the rest of the game was like this but it turned out fine.

Did you play it before or after the patch? I shouldn't say unplayable but it was very, very annoying and the definition of a bad port. The lag from using the menu was ridiculous.

I guess I played it after the patch. I got the game pretty late. :O Damn that sounds terrible. I don't think there was any lag but the load times were pretty long.
