Might want to look at the context of it all as same can be clamied about you, X1 is not PS3 it has none of the advantages and benefits PS3 had.  Nor Did PS3 face such strong direct competitior as X1 is facing.  People need to get over PS3s recovery, X1 does not have similar circumstances that would make that as likely a reality.

What benefits did the PS3 have that the Xbox One lacks? I suppose you could argue blu-ray, but that is a media feature, of which the Xbox One has better features over the PS4? At the time of launch, PS3 didn't even have "the graphics" going for it, as most games, early in the generation, performed better on the 360 than on the PS3.

Not to mention that the general feature set of the PS3 was oh-so-lacking when it first came out. Zero multitasking, zero customisation, Playstation store was dead, PSN was absolutely nothing compared to Xbox Live at the time.

And how did PS3 not have as strong a competitor as the X1? Did you forget that the Wii sold absolute gangbusters in 2006/2007/2008, and the 360 outsold the PS3 by a substantial margin during that time (Christmas 2008, the 360 was outselling the PS3 by a quarter a million per week).

But, ultimately, you missed the point of my post. My point wasn't that there is going to be a turnaround, or anything like that... my point was that to predict these things are absurd. Nobody can possibly even fathom a guess as to what the sales conditions will be in 2020.

Oh, and I see in another post down below there was some kind of implication that I'm an Xbox fan in some way. I'm not really a fan of anything, I have a PS4, play it from time to time, probably won't bother with an Xbox One or WiiU. I got the PS4 because it was cheaper, and because of PSN+ instant game collection. It was a value proposition, like it is for most people. If Microsoft can prove that their console offers more bang for the buck than Sony's, then the sales will change.
