You see, in the fast-paced hack-and-slash genre, I'm consistently baffled that developers like Sony Santa Monica, Ninja Theory, or Crytek continue to target 30 fps (and fail, in Ryse's case). What's up with that? Are they trying to make the best game in its genre, or the best graphical showcase? :P DMC4, Metal Gear Rising, and Bayonetta (360 version lol) are simply the smoothest, least laggy hack-and-slash titles of the seventh genreation, and I'm happy to see Platinum contuning the trend with Bayonetta 2. Kudos for putting playability first.

God of War is the style over substance / flashy, outstanding presentation> technical and deep battle system -  game in the genre.

Ryse doesn´t belong in the same category.....and DmC is ...yeah, it is very hard to get Unreal Engine 3 games to run at 60 fps on consoles.

I haven't had the luxury to play DmC on PC. :P I know some people who really, really enjoyed it though.

It was " God of War-ificated" If you are someone who loves the DMC games for theit technical battle systems, adores Bayonetta for timing your frames and making the game your bitch on the highest difficulty......then you´ll hate DmC.

It is still a decent game of its own though.
