I hope he's kidding around, I may note be a pro. Dev ,but like all artists. We should all except critism. Sony Fanboys, not everyone like The Last of Us get over it, same go for GTAV.

PS. The Last of Us DLC: Left Behind have release today.

I hope he's not kidding around.  Everyone's entitled to their opinions, but Polygon has a very clear and distinguished track record of bias.  The absolute proof of that is Tomb Raider's PS4 version getting the same score as the One version, and the PS3/360 versions.  Yet, Polygon themselves have marked multiplatform titles down, for performance in the past.  The improvements may be marginal, but they ARE improvements and the reviews scores should reflect that (It was not only how things were during the PS3/360 era, it was the right way to go about it.  If it performs worse on Platform A, it should get a lower review score, plain and simple).

This is the system I now employ to write off shady reviewers.  Too many in the industry are bound by NDA's that won't allow them to criticize things openly, and too many are influenced by one company or another.  I don't care who they're loyal too, I simply care about getting the best experience.  And when you can't trust a reviewer to be as honest as they were in past gens.  It's time to write them off.
