Love how people treat NPD like they are actually 100% accurate.
They are prediction based on sample of the sales numbers. Just like VGC. Except NPD's sample is bigger. It doesnt mean its 100% right though. It doesnt mean VGC is 100% wrong either. They are estimates.
Only the publishers will be able to tell you how much they shipped to retailers. Thats the maximum ammount that eventually gets sold.
Seece is beeing attacked cause he is treating the numbers as 100% correct, when he has no basis to make that assumption. The differences are small and difficult to accept as complete thruth... therefore, its difficult not to conclude that what he wants is to speak about doom... for the milionth time. AKA, he got some ammo and now is looking at shooting some more. People will naturally feel offended.
Also, logically, given the software that came out compared to last year, its difficult to believe that the Wii U is selling worse. Mario 3D came out to great reviews and DKC is upcoming. Both, high selling franchises.
