In honor of Valentine's Day, please enjoy this list of video game couples throughout the years. Romantic (and platonic) relationships can be found in video games old and new, but they factor more prominently in modern video games, in which storytelling has become more important. The ten relationships below are either overtly romantic, subtly flirtatious, or strictly platonic. Some are limited to a single game; others have developed over decades.

I feel as though Squall/Rinoa should be on here somewhere, Tidus and Yuna as well, Heck i'd be hard driven to throw Zidane and Garnet on here too but i know that your trying to mix it up abit. Why choose Cloud and Tifa instead which (i feel their weaker then the VIII,IX and X couple) btw?

I went with Cloud/Tifa because they're such an iconic couple. But honesty, I could probably have filled the list with all FF pairings, including Celes/Locke, as badgenome mentioned.
