I will start by g I'm not trolling spewing doom or downplaying the good launch of Xbox One.

But if we go by NPD January 2014 numbers, X1 sold almost 1/2 of Ps4 and with all the push from some shareholders to kill consoles division and previous history from original Xbox cut of support we can say it isn't impossible for Ms to pull the plug. And since I doubt Sony would let them release nextbox a full year before Ps5 (that is if Sony don't sink before it) Ms won't be able to repeat the scenario of X360 sucess so maybe they could decide to kill the division if Xbox One bombs (in their metrics, not in the quality of the system or games)?

If you were to guess, in which scenario Ms would kill it's division? How many units sold in how long?

I predict that if Xbone fails to sell 30M LTD before 5y on the market they will leave the bussiness. Likewise if before this timeframe they drop to less than 3M a year it would also happen let's say year 3 it meets 30M and it's viable but start dropping fast and year 5 it sells 2M then I would say they may release a premature Xbox 360 Two.

That's exactly what you're doing...   It would be like me going into the Sony forum and asking "What if Sony started losing 2.5 billion a year for the next 7 years, would it be the end of the Playstation brand?"  Do you think that would even be worth discussing?

The system has only been on the market for 3 months and is selling faster than 360 did.  So why not at least wait to see if it actually runs into trouble before making threads with imaginary disaster scenarios.

Nope, selling 30M isn't doom, as gen 6 proved.

And we have several threads about sony bankrupcy, and most would agree that if sony loses 3B a year it would close before ps5 but wouldn't cut support of ps4 due to low sales. While Ms have basically 0% chance of going under but have shown that they cut support quite easily if expectations aren't met.
